the marrying type - the soundtrack

Posted on 05:00 by Unknown
I think musically. When I write, I use a few playlists to help me work. Some set the mood — happy, sad, loving, etc. Others are just background noise.

While developing and writing a story, I tend to create a playlist specific to that book. The soundtrack features songs I can imagine playing during a part of the book much like in a movie.

I took a break from revisions on my novel to create an official soundtrack for THE MARRYING TYPE, the working title for my recently-completed book. In addition to being songs that work with the plot, each of the songs are something I imagine being on my main character's playlist or on her car radio.

Check it out if you're interested and someday when you read it, you can decide if the songs fit.

"Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson
"The One That Got Away" by Katy Perry
"Don't You Remember?" by Adele
"Not Over You" by Gavin DeGraw
"Brokenhearted" by Karmin
"Drive By" by Train
"Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon Five
"Sexy and I Know it" by LMFAO
"Make You Feel My Love" by Adele
"Without You" by David Guetta featuring Usher
"If I Walk Away" by Josh Groban
"One and Only" by Adele
I'm curious, do any of you writers do the same thing? Any songs you'd like to share that come to mind for one of your projects?
